1. Georges St.-Pierre (19-2) – Jackson’s MMA
GSP is on a short list of best pound for pound fighters in the world, dominating Fitch, Penn, and Alves, and nope, not breaking much of a sweat with Dan Hardy last month.

2. Jon Fitch (21-3, 1NC) – American Kickboxing Academy
He didn’t get to fight Alves but looked his same old self against Ben Saunders — which necessarily isn’t a good thing. He’s the number two welterweight, but definitely isn’t gaining many fans with those types of performances and you have to wonder how long the UFC will keep him around just to beat young talent.

3. Josh Koscheck (15-4) – American Kickboxing Academy
Kos showed his wrestling ability in a tough matchup with Paul Daley and was able to earn a unanimous decision victory and also many boos from the fans.  For his victory, Koscheck was awarded with a title shot and coaching spot opposite champion GSP on the next season of TUF.

4. Thiago Alves (16-6) – American Top Team
After a scan showed an irregularity in his brain he was ruled out of the Fitch fight. The good news is that Alves has recovered and will look to get revenge against Fitch in August.

5. Nick Diaz (22-7) – Cesar Gracie
Diaz recently fought in DREAM against Hayato Sakurai and  was able to secure an armbar submission in the first round.  His next fight in the states is TBA as he will have to answer for his actions in the post-fight brawl at the Strikeforce event before he will be able to fight again.

6. Paulo Thiago (13-1) – Constrictor Team
Thiago made a big splash in his UFC debut with a stunning knockout over Josh Koscheck. The UFC threw him to the wolves in his next fight and he lost via decision to Jon Fitch but rebounded with a submission victory over Mike Swick.  Thiago will have another tough test against Martin Kampmann on 6/12

7. Paul Daley (23-9-2) – Team Rough House
Daley was stifled against Koscheck in their number one contender fight and decided he’d hit Koscheck with a cheap shot after the bell.  That decision earned him a one way ticket out of the UFC.

8. Dan Hardy (23-6) – Team Rough House
As was expected, Hardy was dismantled by St. Pierre at UFC 111. He showed some toughness by not tapping when it appeared his arm was at the breaking point on two different occasions but ultimately his main weapon — dangerous striking — really wasn’t dangerous at all, and I don’t know that St. Pierre ever got touched by Hardy. His next fight is TBA.

9. Dan Hornbuckle (21-2) – Team Solid/Goshin Jitsu
Hornbuckle has added another two victories to his belt in the Bellator tournament and will look to keep his streak going when he faces off against the highly touted Ben Askren.

10. Carlos Condit (24-5) – Arizona Combat Sports
Condit’s UFC debut was a great fight but ended in defeat via split decision to Martin Kampmann. His next fight out was against Jake Ellenberger who proved to be a very tough opponent but Condit narrowly squeaked out the victory. His next fight is at UFC 115 against Rory MacDonald
