Really solid card and it just shows that some of the best events are when you have hungry competitors going up against each other and it doesn’t matter to them that they aren’t compelling on paper. Certainly one of the better cards this year.

The only real surprise was how great Kampmann looked. Completely outclassed Thiago in every aspect of the fight and a great return to top form for him.

If you haven’t seen it yet Tommy, it’s definitely worth a watch. And happy birthday old man!

I haven’t watched any of this show yet, but it sounds like the pace stayed up more often than not, and people more or less went home happy. This went down about how I predicted with the exception of Kampmann dominating Thiago. Barry could and probably should have beaten Cro Cop, but it was the old man’s night. That’s okay though. I turn 35 today (!) so good on you, Mirko.

So Bryan and I both go 3/5, so no bragging rights this time, and that 1-1 draw in the World Cup match should help restore peace among our staff as well.
