Sponsors and the UFC: Much Ado about nothing?

A funny thing happened on the way to Outrage Street: After much was made about the loss of numerous sponsors due to exorbitant charges being levied by the UFC, somehow, the loss of groups like the above picture Hayabusa Fightwear seemed…like not much of a story. Replaced instead by companies I was suprised could shell out the 6 figure sum needed to show up on the UFC such as Xtreme Yogurt (now with two locations!), its hard to see that anything really changed. This was the first show I had seen in some time that didn’t feature everyone’s favorite retailer, Condom Depot, and honestly, can’t say I miss them much.

Now, how much the advertising ban was enforced….I have no clue. I have a feeling some free passes were given here and there. Even then, hopefully this nonstory has been put to rest.
